About Kantishna Roadhouse

The Alaska Native-owned Kantishna Roadhouse is located at the end of the 95 mile Denali Park road, deep inside the heart of Denali National Park. Kantishna Roadhouse is one of the few lodges located inside Denali National Park & Preserve where only a few people have the chance to stay overnight.

Activities at Kantishna Roadhouse

During the day spent your time exploring the wonders and magic of Denali National Park. Daily you can choose between several guided hikes from easy, moderate to strenuous. Guided hikes leave the Roadhouse daily and last for two to six hours. Hiking is an excellent opportunity to explore and learn about the wildlife and flora of the Kantishna Hills from one of the experienced Naturalist Guides. Kantishna Roadhouse also has an on-site dog kennel and offers dog-sled demonstrations from an experienced Iditarod dog handler. There are more wilderness activities available including fly fishing in Moose Creek, mountain biking, gold panning at the Historic Kantishna mining district. You can also take a flightseeing tour to Mt. McKinley. At night you can join for evening presentations including Alaskan storytellers, authors, geologists, bird specialists, or naturalists. If energy is left, join the evening excursion to Wonder Lake to view the Mountain and Alpenglow colors.
