Portage Glacier
Approximately 7-hours. From Anchorage, you'll travel by deluxe motor coach on the scenic Seward Highway to Portage Glacier. Stop at the Begich-Boggs Visitor Center to see the glaciology exhibits. Then board the Mv Ptarmigan for an unforgettable one-hour cruise across iceberg-dotted Portage Lake. On the way back to Anchorage, stop at Hotel Alyeska for a one-hour lunch on your own and an optional tram ride to the top of Mt. Alyeska.

Portage Glacier Cruise

Prince William Sound Glacier Cruise
Climb aboard the Emerald Sea for an unforgettable 5.5 hour cruise to the most spectacular glaciers in Prince William Sound, Alaska. Approximately 4-hours. Fairbanks owes its founding to the discovery of gold. Your driver/guide will bring those early days to life, explaining the misadventures of one Captain E.T. Barnette and how a rumor of gold actually panned out. Included are stops at Gold Dredge No. 8 the historic structure that dug the river bedrock of Goldstream and Engineer creeks for Alaska’s miners right up until 1959 - and the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, an 800-mile engineering marvel that carries Alaska crude from Prudhoe Bay in the Arctic to the seacoast at Valdez. You and your fellow adventurers will take the wheel of 4-wheel-drive Jeep Wranglers® and follow your guide on a spectacular off-road journey on the edge of Denali National Park. Your destination is the Stampede Road. The first few miles are paved, but beyond this point your guide will lead you along some very primitive roadway providing you with plenty of bumps and dips and sways. Your Jeep Wrangler® carries four guests, and there will be ample opportunity to switch drivers so everyone aged 25 years and older with a driver’s license can enjoy the thrill of maneuvering along this wilderness road. Interactive two-way radios allow your guide to explain the area’s rich history, point out interesting sights along the way, plus provide tips on the condition of the road ahead! Throughout the trip, you’ll be able to ask the guide questions and share the experience with your fellow drivers. Must be 25 years of age and have a valid drivers license.

Rafting through the pristine wildlands of Denali State Park (and the borderlands of Denali National Park), you will see vistas and magnificent scenery most folks just read about or experience via magazines. The raft launch is at mile 133 of the George Parks Highway. Your trip will begin here or in Talkeetna, depending upon where you are staying. (We provide complimentary transportation from Talkeetna.) At the river's edge, you will participate in a brief safety lecture and demonstration before launching and floating the nineteen miles of the glacial-fed Chulitna back to Talkeetna. Throughout the float, a stunning view of Mt. McKinley (20,320') and the entire Alaska Range provide a spectacular backdrop. This remote portion of the Chulitna River is prime bald eagle, bear, salmon and moose habitat. On clear days, the view is unparalleled for photo opportunities.

Full Day Guided Fishing
Experienced guides will take you for 8-hours to some of their favorite fishing holes in 24' and 27' jet boats on untamed Alaskan waters. The boats are equipped with overhead canopies to protect you from inclement weather. From this area, you can fish for all five species of salmon (King, Sockeye, Chum, Pink and Coho) in addition to Rainbow Trout, Dolly Varden and Arctic Grayling. As your flight departs Talkeetna, you begin to see how the last ice age has shaped the land. Moments later, you enter a world of rugged high mountain peaks and wide glacier filled valleys.
